岩屋寺 奥の院 白山行場の特徴
岩屋寺の納経所で鍵を借りてアクセス可能な行場です。
難易度の高いクライミングが楽しめる場所として知られています。
周囲に大自然が広がり、動物の存在に注意が必要です。
I was here December 2024. Rather difficult to find, look out for Fudo Myo against the cliff face. Once inside the gate there is a climbing assist chain, but an ordinary hardware store chain, not at all like the hand forged iron chains at Ishizuchisan. Looks like an easy crack to stem, about 12-15m high and less than 1.5m wide in places with plenty of good hand and footholds. However base of crack was a leaf litter covered slope, completely covering rock below.As I was alone and the day was getting late I decided to turn back. At some point I thought I heard a group of pilgrims approaching and called out a greeting in Japanese. No verbal response, rather a large animal kicked a pile of rocks down at me from above as it turned tail to leave in a hurry. A bear? Did not see it, but inushishi usually squeal when I get too close, and this sounded like a large ambling beast. Having spent years in remote Alaska, I'd say it sounded like a bear, but cannot visually confirm.Exercise caution if heading to this okunoin, best to not be there alone if possible. If you go, give my regards to Fudo Myo!

2025年12月注意書きにもあるように、行場で危険な場所です。入り口の鍵は岩屋寺の納経所で借りて入ることができますが、できれば先達さんと一緒に行くことをお勧めします。
