Had a lovely usucha here. Light and delicate with just the right amount of umami. Served with what tasted like nama chocolate, such a complementary treat. Perfect way to end my morning in Tofukuji. You can dine in or take out. Recommend to dine in if you can, such nice and relaxed atmosphere
薄茶を注文。お茶と生チョコです。朝から歩きづめの体にすーとしみ込むようでした。美味しくいただくうちに、雨が降り出しました。走って駅まで行くか、と心を決めて走り出そうとすると、なんと、傘をくださいました。その傘は、東福寺駅で困り顔のインバウンドのご夫婦に差し上げましたが、お店の方のお心は、いつまでも私の中にあります。ありがとうございました。
お抹茶をお洒落な器で頂けます。清水焼の器も販売されています。清水焼の窯元陶あんの焼き物のようで本当に可愛らしい柄の器です。
The shopping experience was excellent. The staff answered all of our questions and helped us look through the bowls until we found ones we liked. After paying, they brought out a dessert and cup of matcha as a thank you.The customer service of Kiwakoto is incredible and I highly recommend their product to anyone searching for a high quality, and unique souvenir from Kyoto. I will certainly shop here again next time I travel to Japan.
I bought a tea whisk and a matcha bowl. I’m looking forward to making matcha with them. The bowls all had beautiful colors and patterns. They have English-speaking staff, and tax-free shopping was available.
There were so many beautiful handmade matcha bowls.If you’re looking to buy one, this is truly the best shop in Kyoto.The staff were also incredibly kind.I enjoyed a matcha latte and a sweet, and they were both delicious.I highly recommend this place as a café as well.
禁煙です。お抹茶を綺麗な器で頂きました！沢山のお茶碗に目移りして写真撮りそこなうくらいです、海外の方が好みそうです。

写真の撮影日時は2026.04.20（月）14:51。通りがかりに撮影した。店内に茶器、招き猫の置物、香炉等々京都らしい（京都をイメージさせる）品々が並んでいる。お店の奥は “Mattya”🍵 お抹茶 cafe がある模様。店舗の後ろのほうにこれまた京都を彷彿とさせるポップ（店舗紹介・案内の掲示板）があるので併せて掲載する。最寄りは京都市バス、JR 及び京阪電鉄東福寺駅。もうここまで来れば、東福寺エリア直前である。合掌。
