哲学の道近くにあり、隠れた国宝作品を発見できる場所です。
有名な浮世絵師、清親の木版画を多数揃えた素晴らしいギャラリーです。
150年以上前の貴重な木版画の雑誌もあり、アートの歴史を感じられます。

Beautiful place but it’s now closed - the owner let us in to look and buy some amazing pieces from her by it was just by chance that she was there - I would email or call ahead to ensure you can still get access - the owner and her daughter were lovely people.
Some places are magical, this is one of those places that somehow makes you feel at ease.The art pieces were just amazing, the drawings and prints are organized beautifully in drawers and it's easy to find what you're looking for. The elderly lady who worked there is the most precious gem of the entire store, how can someone be so lovely?This store was a happy memory from Tokyo not just a shopping experience.
An absolute gem. Lovely wood block prints, some of them originals, and most of all, lovely people. The owners were delightful, kind, and eager to share their art. We were thrilled to find such a unique shop that offered great alternatives to the standard fare everywhere else. Highly recommend you stop by here and experience it for yourself.
Amazing shop we stumbled across while walking Philosopher's Path. The women running the shop took so much time and care in showing us the artwork as well as explaining the art of wood block printing. She even showed us an original wood block that was decades old! This stop was truly one of my favorites while visiting Japan.
다리 건너편에 있는 가게를 우연히 들렀습니다.노부부가 시간이 걸려도 기다려 줘서 맘에 드는 것들을 구매할 수 있었습니다.가격대는 다양해서 예산에 맞게 추천도 받았습니다. 귀국 후 액자로 두고 보고 있습니다.
最高にアットホームなお店！なによりもご主人が集めた浮世絵や千社札の数々が宝の山のようにあります。100年前に実際に刷られた版画達です。お店のおかあさんたちが懇切丁寧に詳しく版画について教えてくれます。アートやデザインが好きで哲学の道を通るなら、絶対に寄るべきお店！また必ず行きます。
Amazing little shop for vintage and new wood block prints. Cheerful and helpful older couple running the shop were very generous. Amazing find while exploring Kyoto!
One of the places I'll remember most on my recent trip to Kyoto. Despite the size, it's packed with art and the elderly couple that run the store were extremely kind and generous. They have work from a variety of Japanese artists and if you are interested in the ukiyo-e artist Kiyochika, they have a good selection of his ACTUAL woodblock prints. They also have some rare woodblock print "magazines/books" that are over 150 years old! Just off philosopher's path, and a stone's throw from Yojiya cafe...your afternoon is sorted :)
