I thought making nerikiri wagashi for the first time would be difficult, but thanks to the clear and easy-to-follow instructions, I was able to create something really cute! It’s a wonderful activity where you can casually experience traditional Japanese culture.
A pleasant and fun experience! Mieko is very knowledgeable and made the tea ceremony easy to follow. The nerikiri making was especially enjoyable and a great hands-on activity. Highly recommended for any tea enthusiast 🍵💕
I joined the tea ceremony alone and had such a lovely experience.The host was welcoming and explained everything clearly.Preparing matcha myself was a highlight. A peaceful cultural experience in Hakuba.

This morning we had a great tea ceremony hosted by Mieko! The table was beautifully set and Mieko gave a lot of detailed and clear information in English about matcha and its history. Very interesting. We learned a lot and could ask many questions. Then she gave a really nice and peaceful demonstration of how to make matcha. After that we had some sweets and made our own matcha. We both enjoyed the matcha and this experience. One of the best we had so far during our trip in Japan!
