I am very happy I discovered this gem while visiting Nakatsugawa from Canada. The host is exceptionally friendly and genuinely enjoys discussing local sake and life in Japan. He took the time to explain different varieties, which made the whole experience very welcoming and personal. The atmosphere and music are also great. A perfect spot to spend the evening and meet people — I highly recommend it.

Best bar in Nakatsugawa!Host Hisachi provided exceptional sake & beer recommendations. There is vibrant music playing and the wooden cedar tabletops are clean and minimal, providing awesome photo opportunities. Would recommend!

I’m on vacation from California and found this gem of a place on my way to the Nakasendo trail. If you want an authentic local experience with a bilingual small business owner (self taught English speaker), I highly recommend this place. The service is friendly and the owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the local area.
Warm and inviting place with friendly service, delicious local beverages (I highly recommend the strawberry gin with soda - great way to taste the subtle flavors of the handcrafted spirit). The owner is bilingual, so this spot is particularly friendly for English speaking tourists. I highly recommend anyone that is hiking the Nakasendo trail to visit this classy bar.
飲みやすい美味しい日本酒があるなんて。店内もキレイだし、お店の雰囲気も良かったです。今度はクラフトビールにも挑戦してみたいです。また行きます。I was surprised to find such delicious, easy-to-drink sake. The interior was clean and the atmosphere was great. I'd like to try their craft beer next time.

店主さんがとても気さくな方で、気持ちよく美味しく日本酒を飲めました。つまみはやや少ないかな？と思いましたが、それでもつまみもお酒も全て美味しかったです。中津川はとても好きな街の一つですが、さらに好きになりました。とても良いお店です。
