The loveliest store, run by the loveliest lady 🧡 The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and she takes her time to explain the meaning behind her husband's artwork as well as introducing aspects of Japanese culture. I believe anyone can easily find a beautiful art souvenir here.We bought a few items, and the owner kindly gifted us two postcards and two mikan oranges! It was truly a memorable and heartwarning experience. We had a good chit chat despite the language barrier.I wish her good health, and hope many people have the chance to visit her store and experience her kindness!
The cutest little wooden block print shop, run by a lovely lady who proudly shared that her husband is the artist behind all the paintings, sculptures, and handmade items inside. Everything was so beautiful I honestly wanted to take one of everything home! If you’re in Narai-juku, you absolutely must stop by this shop.
This is the loveliest store!!! I went to take a look at the beautiful postcards. And I had a talk with the extremely lovely lady working in this shop. She told me her husband draws the postcard prints. Despite her little German and English skills and my very little Japanese skills we had a lovely conversation. Highly recommended!
While exploring Narai-juku, I came across this little hidden gem — a shop lovingly run by the wife of Nakanishi Koji, a local artist who passed away in 2014. She keeps his legacy alive by sharing his beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints, which make for far more meaningful souvenirs than the usual tourist fare.Even though I had just popped in out of curiosity, she welcomed me so warmly and even gifted me a few postcards — such a touching gesture that really captured the spirit of true Japanese hospitality. It was a completely unexpected and memorable encounter. Definitely make time for a visit if you’re in the area!
Very cute and charming little art shop selling painting, illustrations, postcards, sculptures. Lovely illustrations that come in a series. Shop is run by an elderly couple. The grandma loves to chit chat and is proud of her husbands art. Super friendly and takes time to explain the meaning behind the illustrations with the little English she has picked up over the years from tourists.

We visited this spot 3 years ago - this was one of the most memorable spots. The shop owner was so sweet and welcoming. She tried her best to chat with us in english and we loved looking at all the artwork in the shop by her late husband. This is a place that I would love to visit again.
