Nous étions à la recherche d'un kakejiku. En demandant à l'Office du tourisme, nous sommes arrivés à la gallerie Mitsuido ouverte le dimanche ! Nous avons été accueillis par une charmante dame qui s'est pliée en 4 pour nous trouver une belle pépite. Elle ne parlait pas bien anglais mais avec Google Translate, nous avons pu nous comprendre. Nous avons vécu une très belle expérience et vous recommandons cette gallerie.

Cozy, family-owned gallery located close to Takayama Station with an amazing selection of authentic, traditional Japanese art. Misa and her mother are super knowledgable, and it was amazing to chat with them and learn more about the Japanese art world! They have a multitude of art pieces from the Edo Period (1600s -- 1800s), and their ukiyo-e prints are certified by the national government, so you know you're purchasing the real deal for your collection.Couldn't snap a photo, but they also have an exquisite gallery of super rare textile art pieces on the 2nd floor, which I recommend checking out.
