Magical bar and some of the best (if not the best) cocktails I have ever had. There is no menu. Only a friendly bartender who makes cocktail with passion with local products (or Japanese). I had a yuzu gin drink, negroni, and a whisky sour. All where Incredible! Super smooth to the pallet and well balanced.
Tucked away in a Takayama alley is this wonderfully amazing cocktail bar. The Hiroshima Whiskey Sour was incredible!
Masaru is a fantastic host. He showed us his favourite sake as well as his signature cocktail (Amaretto sour, excellent!) and with his better than he thinks English he was a lively conversationalist. We wish we had discovered this place sooner in our stay in Takayama. A great place.

Da Italiano posso assicurare che abbiamo bevuto il Negroni più buono della vita.Oltre alla grande maestria da barman, Masaru San è una persona squisita, di una gentilezza non comune. Ci ha fatto sentire a casa.Nota di merito doverosa anche a Luca, il nostro amicodelsolevante (migliore guida Italiana di tutto il Giappone), senza il quale difficilmente avremmo trovato questo posto.Potessi darei molto più di 5 stelle.Masaru San! Masaru was the highlight of our two-week trip through Japan. We stopped by because of the good ratings and it exceeded all of our expectations. His knowledge about whisky, the decoration (many of those made by him), the conversation and the amazing skills to serve a beautiful whisky sour were unmatched.If you are in Takayama, do yourself a favor and stop here and say hi to our dear Masaru.Felipe and Maria
Great night. Masaru was a gentleman and very polite. A former graphic and architectural designer, his bar setup is gorgeous and he was very friendly and accommodating, despite english not being his strong suit. Complementary bar snacks. He introduced us to a local whisky and some sake of his own accord. Highly recommended!
