우선 점원분들 모두 너무 친절하셨고, 일본풍의 아기자기한 앤티크들이 많아 구경하는 재미가 있었습니다. 고가의 물건들도 많지만 부담 없이 구매할 수 있는 작은 금속 공예품이나 도자기도 있어서, 앤티크를 사랑한다면 한 번쯤은 들러봐도 좋을 것 같습니다!
Authentic pieces of Japanese art and historyAn amazing shop in gion not far from the photo spots and kiyomizu temple. It’s like a museum of some of the coolest traditional Japanese items you can find, and they’re all for sale! The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. This is exactly what I was looking for while travelling through Kyoto-Japan. It is cozy traditional look-like antique store with many awesome arrifacts! Stuff is very nice and professional, I really liked explanation of items, it's like a museum tour thing. Very Enthusiastic!

We kwamen dit winkeltje bij toeval tegen. Het is echt net een museum binnen en ze hebben echt hele mooie spullen. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en deskundig. Ze weten veel historie over de spullen die ze verkopen. Uiteindelijk hebben we een bordje gekocht en een tsuba uit de Edo Periode. De verkoopster was ook zo vriendelijk om de inscriptie op de tsuba op te schrijven. Echt een prachtig aandenken aan onze reis naar Japan. We gaan er goed voor zorgen! In de foto’s wat we gekocht hebben. Het bordje is goed ingepakt voor de reis terug dus die durf ik niet nu niet uit te pakken!
Awesome little shop in the beautiful Higashiyama quarter, we came here more than once during our stay in Kyoto. Each time the lady there showed us many fascinating pieces and explained everything, we feel that we've learned more than in any museum. Also the prices seem to be really fair, we could only bring home a small Kogatana+Kozuka, but will definitely come back if we visit Kyoto again.
Bellissimo negozio di antichità nel cuore di kiyomizu, cercavo qualcosa di speciale da portare in dono e sono stata molto felice di aver trovato per caso questo negozio. All'interno hanno una vastissima selezione di oggetti antichi: dalle ceramiche, ai gioielli, ai fermagli, alle katane e tanto altro. Davvero imperdibile se siete amanti di questo genere di oggetti antichi. Abbiamo comprato u fiore di agata del periodo Edo da fare una spilla. Consiglio di fare un giro anche solo per vedere le cose bellissime che hanno esposte. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e risponderanno a ogni vostra domanda e vi forniranno interessanti spiegazioni in inglese, cosa per nulla scontata in giappone.
I stumbled upon this place searching for antiques in Kyoto. I have been to 6 antiques shops with high reviews in this breathtaking city. Hatsune Antique is the best. The stories these artefacts tell are fantastic. This is not a shop but a treasure trove. The effort presented by the team and Emiko Akazawa in particular remains unparalleled, this wonderful lady guided me through the shop for hours explaining historical context and details on every piece I was interested in. Flawless, once I decided which armour to buy, she negotiated a discount on my behalf and started the process of collecting and providing numerous additional details on the piece. I am touched by the warmth and dedication of Mrs. Emiko Akazawa. Now I have learned that the armor is in fact belonging to a higher ranking military and not a common foot soldier which leaves me even more euphoric. I will 100% come back. Thank you.
