Had a good time and a couple of drinks here at midnight on a weeknight. Was here with a friend and there was also 2 Japanese patrons. Owner was friendly, interesting, and is fluent in English. Recommend.
Kotomi and Hide were excellent hosts and made us feel really welcome. Kotomi speaks English very well which was helpful for me, while my partner speaks Japanese and had a fun conversation with another customer. Thank you for your recommendations- we had a great time in Nagasaki and hope this bar is a great success!
一人旅で長崎を訪れて、偶然見つけたのが Public House HEBE。結果的に今回の旅で一番思い出に残るバーになりました。オーナーのKotomiさんとバーのスタッフの皆さんが本当に最高でした。日本語がほとんど話せない自分にもすごく親切で、まるで昔からの友達みたいに温かく迎えてくれて、一人旅なのに全く寂しさを感じませんでした。長崎のおすすめスポットやお店も正直に教えてくれて、とても助かりました。しかもドリンクはリーズナブルで、フードも想像以上に美味しい！特に「ビーフシチュー（バゲット or ライス付き）」と「花柄サラミとたまご」は絶対に頼んでほしいです。本当に感動しました。長崎にまた来たら、必ず再訪します。10/10。Visited Public House HEBE during my solo trip to Nagasaki, and it genuinely became one of the highlights of my entire trip.Kotomi and the whole bar team were absolute legends. Even though I don’t speak Japanese, they made me feel completely at home from the moment I walked in. It never once felt awkward being there alone - they were so warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to.They also gave really honest and fantastic recommendations for places around Nagasaki, which I appreciated a lot as a traveller.The drinks are very reasonably priced, and the food absolutely blew me away. Please do yourself a favour and try the beef stew with baguette/rice and the “flower patterned salami and egg” - both were incredible.10/10 experience. Would 100% visit again next time I’m in Nagasaki.
I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Public House HEBE while I was in Nagasaki. I thought I’d go in for a drink or two, but ended up having the best night of my trip in Japan.It’s a cosy bar with a great atmosphere, good selection of beers and whiskey. I loved all the names of the food, and the food I did eat was very delicious.The most memorable part was our hostess Kotomi and the other patrons. Even with my basic Japanese I felt like I fit right in, and would love to see everyone again.I highly recommend HEBE when you’re in Nagasaki, and I can’t wait to come back to visit.
Visited during the Lantern Festival on a Saturday from 1930-2030. HEBE has a great vibe and the bar itself is beautifully designed. The bar seats 10, and presumable standing is allowed. The owner mans the bar herself and is engaging and attentive to all her customers—English is welcome with a smile. You have an empty glass? Not for long. Running low on cigarettes? Maybe there’s some available but maybe I’m just special so bring your own! Drinks and food are well priced. Whiskey, scotch, beer and sake are available. Don’t think twice, it’s a must visit for Nagasaki.
Very stylish new bar in Nagasaki. Ordered the Shepherds Pie and the Oden and it was so delicious and the price was so cheap.The owner speaks English so it was very easy to order what I wanted.I was also surprised that some famous people have visited and their signatures are on the wall!If you are visiting Nagasaki don’t miss this place!
本当にふらっと入りましたが、開店して2週間だと思えないくらい中はフレンドリーでマスターもすごく気さくでした。1人ではいってもウェルカムな雰囲気も作ってくれるし、お客さんとの距離もちかいので旅行に役立つ情報も聞けますwしかもお酒もやすく、今どき原価が高いお酒もたくさんあります。フードメニューがわけわからん名前ですが、注文してからのお楽しみでどれもコスパがいい！また行きたいです！
