Perfect. Near trains, bar food, or expensive food, Mats Kiyoshi n supermarket one stop away or 20 min walk through an expensive neighborhood. Washer/dryer is a must in August.(Dryer is built into the shower)
Overall it was good and provided us with a decent place to stay. Instructions provided by the host were clear to follow and the basic amenities that were provided were all good, including the washing machine. The location is great with lots of restaurants very close by, literally outside the apartment and its surroundings. There’s also a metro station nearby within walking distance. In general, the apartment wad clean and tidy, although the couch does deserve a thorough cleaning as there were loads of stains and looked dirty. One thing I was not comfortable with was that on the intercom device in the room, you could view the faces of the guests who checked into the room. I understand that you need to keep a log of activity but I think that the snapshots of guests which can then be viewed by other guests is not necessary. In addition, the checkin process was not the most convenient. Apart from this, all good.
We had a great stay and any of the problems you can read in the other comments. Our check in was via a quick online call when we also received our room codes. The apartments was very clean and had everything we needed.Shibuya station was just 14 min away via metro.
Wirklich wunderbare, neue und vor allem saubere Unterkunft. Tolle Ausstattung und gute Lage.

The pre-check-in process asked me for a credit card payment of 67.000¥ to „advance settlement“ in order to receive a keycode even though I had already paid the whole amount for both rooms (133.000¥) in full via booking.com.Since this seemed a bit sketchy, I did not pay the 67k but had to hash this out via messages in the days prior to arriving. We then arrived at 21pm on the day (four people, two rooms) and immediately noticed that the beds in BOTH rooms had been made but NOT CLEANED. Greasy pillow cases, many hair of different lenghts across the bed and a distinct smell told us that the bedding had not been made washed since the last guest slept here. The chairs, decorative pillows and bathrooms were also stained and cleaned only on a surface level.Since there is no staff present on the location whatsoever we had to scramble to book something else last minute since noone felt remotely comfortable enough to sleep there for the night - and we‘re not particularly picky.Thankfully the cancellation and refund via booking seems to have gone through and the apology email from Ken‘s Place‘s management felt sincere and understanding, but we still felt obliged to report our experience to guests considering this stay - it was a lowpoint for us.If the cleanliness wasn‘t such a disappointment, Ken‘s Place would‘ve probably been a good stay to explore Tokyo and the surrounding neighborhoods from.
