After an amazing night here a couple of days earlier, we found ourselves back at Brick Alley for dinner—despite not even being hungry!This time, we decided to try Ichigo, a warm and cozy restaurant/bar that felt extra special on a snowy winter’s night. As always, the experience was made even better by bumping into familiar faces from the ski hill, leading to plenty of great stories and banter.The menu is simple and easy to navigate, and after a quick chat with our new friends, we had all the confirmation we needed that the food was Oishii!Our order:• Gyoza• Earthen Pot Udon• Shumai (I think that’s what they’re called!)• A few beers• Then more shumai—because they were that goodThe gyoza were easily among the best I’ve ever had—if not the best. Perfectly sized, juicy, and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. So moreish.The shumai were equally juicy and full of flavor—so much so that we immediately ordered another round. (We would have gone for more gyoza too, but there were more of them per serve, and at this point, we were just being gluttonous.)Then came the earthen pot udon, and wow—the broth was next level. The combination of egg, pork, chicken, and squid created such a deep, rich flavor that we basically drank what was left in the bowl. The noodles were incredible, and overall, it was the perfect winter dish.After our friends left, we had the chance to chat with the friendly owner. The conversation—about skiing and food—was simple, but we both enjoyed the effort to connect.One thing to note: smoking is allowed in the restaurant. While it’s not really our thing, and we ended up leaving soon after another guest lit up, it didn’t take away from how great this place is.Ichigo is a true hidden gem in Otaru. The setting, the food, and the atmosphere make it something extra special, especially in winter.Highly recommended!
雰囲気のある飲み屋さんですよ♪
단언컨대 이번 여행에서 가장 좋은 기억으로 남은 곳.현지인들과 대화한다는 로망을 품고 가서, 3시간 가량 일본어 회화를 하며 100% 충족하고 돌아올 수 있었습니다. 사장님과 현지 분들이 일본어 잘한다고 끝없이 칭찬해주시거나 외국인이라고 술 몇 잔 사주신 건 덤...추운 날씨와 상반되는 따듯한 홋카이도 사람들의 마음씨를 체감 가능한 장소.점포 특성상 실내 흡연이 가능해서 살짝 냄새가 나긴 했으나 다행히 점내 체류하는 동안 전자담배 1회 이외엔 간접흡연 없이 쾌적했습니다.외국인인 티가 나면 따로 오토시(밑반찬, 자릿세 개념) 내지 않으시는 배려도 있습니다. 저는 처음에 외국인인 걸 안 들킨 상태로 들어갔다가 얘기 중간에 드러나서 어떡하지 하셨는데 괜찮다 말씀드림.사실 저 가격에 이 퀄리티면 한 번 먹어볼 만합니다. 취해서 정확히 기억은 안 나는데, 200엔이었던 것 같네요.톤지루 주셨는데 쌀쌀한 겨울 날씨에 딱이더라고요.술 두 잔(+단골분들 보너스)에 교자 두 번, 오토시까지 2000엔으로 실컷 즐기고 나올 수 있었던 가게였습니다ㅎ돌아오기 전에 재방문 하고 싶었는데 여타 여행 일정에 더해 체력이 따라주질 못해서 결국 불발된 것과 얘기하느라 정신팔려 재주문한 교자 사진, 이후 마신 술 사진이 없는 게 못내 아쉽네요ㅠㅠ오타루로 돌아가고 싶게끔 하는, 반드시 재방문할 계획을 세우게 되는 멋진 가게.
찐한 레몬사와와 교자가 맛있는 곳.혼자 온 외국인에게 쉬운 일본어로 계속 말도 걸어주신 마마와 단골손님들.홋카이도로 9박 10일 여행을 왔다고 하니 가는 도시마다 종류별로 현지인 맛집과 절대 가면 안될 곳을 추천해주시던 고마운 분들을 만나 좋은 추억을 만든 곳.겨울에 또 오겠다고 약속했는데...꼭 지키고 싶은.2025년 9월 재방문.겨울에 다시 오겠다는 약속을 지키지 못하고 가을에 다시 간.잊지 않으시고 한명의 외국인을 기억해주신 마마와 단골 누님!이번에도 맛있는 술과 안주, 그리고 재밌는 대화덕에 또 소중한 추억을 만들었습니다~내년에 다시 오겠다는 약속 꼭 지킬께요~

在聖誕節的夜晚走進這間店，空間不大但很溫暖，很喜歡它的氛圍。老闆姊姊人很親切，店裡的常客姊姊也很友善～土鍋烏龍麵跟餃子很好吃，真心推薦！配上生啤酒實在太美好了，價格也便宜。最後還收到老闆姊姊和常客姊姊送的聖誕節禮物-餅乾，覺得今年的聖誕節真的太棒了！下次來小樽一定還會再來的～～
