求めていた物が見つかりました他にも新たに手に入れたい物もありました見た目は同じに見えても商品の違いを詳しく教えていただきました時間と予算がある時にまた行きたいお店です。
The owner doesn't talk much but they do have a lot of coins there. Including a lot of foreign coins. If you have time you can find many misc items there also.
I had a fantastic experience here with the owner/employee(s). They were kind and patient with me as a foreigner with no Japanese language knowledge and using a translation app. The store is small in size, but has a large amount of unique coins predominantly from Japan. Pricing seemed quite fair as well especially compared to some of the larger stores in Tokyo. Overall, this was a great addition to my Kyoto trip!
I was a bit hesitant because of the bad reviews, but after visiting I was pleasantly surprised. I spoke what Japanese I could and the wife was very nice. For those who said there weren’t any good coins, they just didn’t know what they were looking for. There’s a good selection of rare coins.
The shop is VERY packed, and the old msp running the store seems to have hearing issues, thus making the communication difficult.However the prices are quite pleasant, don't set your expectations too high.
If you are selling, walk in, be polite, place your goods for sale on the desk as he calculates a price. Patience and kindness is key. If you don’t speak much Japanese, speak what you know and no other language. I was prepared because of the reviews that came before this.He was very kind, straightforward, and I got a good rate on fine silver coins. Normal older Japanese fellow.
