Our stay at Jumoku (mid-Dec 2025) was the highlight of our winter road trip in Central Japan.The villa is impressively spacious. On the lower level, there are two large master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, plus a common room with a queen bed and bunk beds — which the kids absolutely loved. There’s also a private onsen that comfortably fits 3–4 adults, along with its own rinsing area, a laundry space, and a storage room.The upper floor is the real showstopper. Gorgeous wooden planks and pillars give the space a warm, modern countryside cottage vibe. The dining area is generous, with a large table at the front of the villa, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking essentials you might need. A small balcony at the back overlooks a wide open area and the hillside, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere.The villa sits in a quiet neighbourhood with several other tourist accommodations nearby. Having a rental car definitely makes things more convenient, as many dining spots and cafés are just a short drive away.The nearest café, Satoru Coffee, is just one block behind the villa — perfect for a quick morning coffee after a short stroll around the neighbourhood.
