記念碑があることで彼の功績を知ることができました。
花が添えられてました。
アメリカの雑誌編集者で、原爆投下4年後に広島を訪れたノーマン・カズンズ氏（Norman Cousins）の記念碑です。大きい石と、小さい石の２つの碑が有ります。それぞれにレリーフが埋め込まれています。戦争孤児たちへの援助を行う為に、養育費を集める運動を行った方です。又、被爆した女性のケロイド治療を、アメリカで行うことに尽力しました。当時世界的に著名な形成外科医らにより、治療されたそうです。直ぐ隣には、マルセル・ジュノー博士記念碑が有ります。少し離れたところには、バーバラ・レイノルズ氏の記念碑も有ります。
