Good worship and solid biblical preaching. Located within walking distance from Umeda station
This is a local dynamic Japanese church with English and Japanese going on at the each Sunday service. There are a mix of Japanese and English speaking people in the church with a very forward looking outreach mission to the local under previleges youth mission with intention to expand to more than one location in 2026. They are focusing on helping families with youth in needs of assistance for tutoring and help them improve their studies at school as a gospel outreaching effort. People are responding to the messages.
Sound biblical sermon with good hermeneutics and text exposition, with a strong explanation and call for the gospel every main point. After the morning service, there's a small group discussion in the afternoon to further digest the message. A blessed time with brethren indeed!
Wonderful worship service pointing to Christ of Christmas. The smoothness and flow of the service was great. The Christmas devotion times was meaningful. Love the smooth running of the bilingual service. Overall, a very blessed time.But there's one thing that made me identify somewhat with Mr Tan. If you don't take the initiative, you tend to be left alone. If you do say hi, they are very friendly people. My wife and I went up to their family luncheon after the service even though the fact that guests were welcomed weren't very clearly stated. We stood there in the semi-chaotic, totally understandable, room for a minute with no one inviting us to sit with them, go get food or take a hike. So, not knowing what to do, we left.But we would definitely consider visiting again if we are in the area. This is a wonderful fellowship of believers and I would highly recommend it.
Loved worshipping with a beautiful gospel centered diverse and friendly family. Praise team of a Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, Indonesian, Canadian, and American.Bilingual service with a monthly lunch and even a sermon deep dive after lunch. Felt at home as it reminded me of my church family in the Washington DC metro. God is at work here as they have baptized 11 people in the past six months!
We greatly enjoyed our visit to this church and highly recommend it. Excellent Biblical preaching in English and Japanese, and lively singing during the worship time. Everyone was VERY friendly and there was a coffee, snacks and fellowship time after the service where the room was humming with conversations between friends and strangers alike. They sang happy birthday and gave a yummy cupcake to everyone with a birthday during the month. If we were going to be in Japan next Sunday, we would definitely return to this church. (We're returning to the United States on Friday.)
