We stayed at the WFC guest house for a few days during our 20-day trip across Japan, and it would honestly be an understatement to say that Bradley and Susan, the current Directors, made us feel truly at home. Not only did we have a beautiful, perfectly clean, and cozy tatami room, and the chance to enjoy lovely breakfasts together with the other guests, but Bradley and Susan also went out of their way, every single day, to help us in any way possible. They were always available for questions, recommendations, practical advice, or simply a kind conversation, and their warmth and generosity made our stay incredibly special.Beyond that, it was truly an honor to meet Soh-san and Miho-san, and to learn about Hiroshima’s history in such an authentic, personal, and meaningful way. The work that the WFC carries on is deeply valuable, and we would wholeheartedly encourage every future guest to make the most of their experience in this truly unique place.
The directors Brad and Sue took very good care of us for our short stay in Hiroshima.We both got lots of good advice on what to see in the city. We also were told all about the purpose of the World Friendship Center, and the local history in Hiroshima.Very appreciated, would recommend to anyone who wants a visit that is culturally in touch with the area.
Wonderful place to stay while spending time in Hiroshima! Hosts are incredibly friendly, and they are knowledgable about Hiroshima's history and cultural must-see spots, and they make great recommendations about local cuisine. I'm so glad I was able to stay here! This NGO's mission of hosting guests from around the world and of offering stories that support seeking peace in the world is truly significant and meaningful.
We have really enjoyed our stay in the World Friendship Center. The beds (futons) were comfortable, everything is super clean and the Western style breakfast was exactly what we were looking for after a couple of weeks in Japan. The hosts are lovely. They welcome you with so much grace and appreciation. The WFC also offers activities such as talks done by A-bomb survivors or walking tours through the Peace Memorial Park. It is all super interesting and impressive. The WFC is located about 20min walk from the Memorial Park & Museum, which is a nice walk along the water. Highly recommend to go here!
I had a great time at the World Friendship Center. I stayed there for three nights, took multiple tours, and would definitely recommend staying here when you visit Hiroshima. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They gave me a lot of great advice on local restaurants and spots to visit. The talk with a Hibakusha left a lasting impression that I will never forget. I learned a lot about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and the effects it had on its people. It is a story that should never be forgotten
Many thanks for the nice stay in WFC! We fully enjoyed our time with the open and very kind hosts who welcomed us warmly. They organized for us guided tours and a meeting with an A-Bomb survivor which were highly insightful and very touching. We definitely come back to WFC the next time we're in Hiroshima!The facilities were perfectly clean and we had everything at disposal. Despite the traffic noise we slept very well.

Fantastic place to really experience the history and importance of Hiroshima. Learn directly from a survivor of the bombing and they provide tours of the Peace Park as well. Such a great place!

Absolutely wonderful stay at WFC. I didn't know about it before arriving, but loved to learn more about the idea and how it's helped to unite international and local communities alike. Sue and Brad were such excellent hosts, extremely helpful and kind, provided lovely breakfast and interesting conversation each morning. The rooms were beautiful and location was also very good.
