Attended a delightful, casual tea ceremony here - booked it the same day and the staff told us to come back later in the day. It was just us, so it was very cozy. We learned about the local Usucha tea ceremony from two wonderful people that were happy to explain everything to us and answer our questions. We purchase some tea and a beautiful cup to take home with us.
We reserved a tea ceremony class in advance for 2 people here. The tea master, Keiko-san, elegantly demonstrated to us a Ryūrei-style tea ceremony, conducted according to the Urasenke tradition. After watching her, she then let us try making our own matcha tea, patiently guiding us through step-by-step. There was another lady to help translate her instructions into English, and our questions into Japanese for her. We were given Japanese sweets to eat alongside the tea. After the class, we shopped around the tea shop. We thoroughly enjoyed the private experience for us two, we would highly recommend this to others too.

You can be accommodated even if you contact the shop 20 minutes in advance, but it is more reliable to contact the shop beforehand if possible.It’s also a great place to buy matcha, as various types of matcha are sold here.”The shop is 15 mins walk from Takayama Station.こちらの店舗では、茶道のお点前体験ができます。体験は20分前に連絡でも、対応できる場合はご対応いただけますが、可能なら前もって連絡しておくとより確実です。様々な種類の抹茶が販売されていて抹茶を買うのにも良いお店です。
お茶席予約せずに、いきなり4/17に伺ったらお茶のお店はお休みでした。なのに親切に近所でお茶を振舞って下さるお店を教えて下さいました。次回はきちんと予約して伺いたいと思います。ありがとうございました。
初心者でも、お店のママが優しく作法を教えてくれて、楽しくお茶を学べました！和菓子を頂き、静かにお茶を頂く。心が清らかになった気がしました！ごちそうさまでした！

2週間前、私は偶然お茶屋の玄関に歩いて行きましたが、オーナーと夫婦はとても熱心で、私たちがお茶を選ぶのを助け、個人的にお茶を作ってお茶を試すのを助けました。最後に、私はこのお茶を4樽買った、そして一種の米の香りがある。とても特別（原文）两周前，无意间走到这家茶店门口，店主夫妇非常热情，帮助我们一家选茶叶，还亲自帮我们泡茶，试茶。最后买了四桶这个茶，清淡还有种米香。很特别，喜欢。

We had a really great time to have the tea ceremony experience here.They taught us about the differences of tea ceremonies methods, and we learned about “omotesenke” ryuu, and we had usucha, the more casual way to enjoying the matcha.They also have great matcha cups and powder for sale at the shop.
