We received very warm and friendly service here the moment we stepped into the shop. They sell a good variety of teapots (kyusu), tea cups, sencha, hojicha as well as matcha whisks and matcha bowls.We were offered sencha to try and a sweet to go along. We did not buy anything as we had more than enough tea leaves to finish back home, so this is my small way of spreading the news about this charming little tea shop (which smells really nice by the way)!
The owners are very kind and friendly and although they don’t speak English we communicated via translation app. They also asked me to join to whisk matcha and we also roasted hojicha. I enjoyed myself very much and learnt a lot about tea.
The staff were very welcoming and kind and there was a wide variety of teas and teaware available. The shop was also very cozy and cute. We went in to look for a new chasen and stock up on some matcha, and suddenly we were invited to whisk and sample some matcha and even hojicha. Ended up buying some matcha cream biscuits/cannoli(?) to take home as souvenirs. Would recommend if you are in town and looking for some tea!
ふらっと寄って、気軽にお茶を飲めます。創業70年の歴史から「南信州のお茶」、静岡県産の「煎茶」「深むし茶」、京都府産の「抹茶」「玉露」などこだわりの品を数多く取り揃えています。日本茶インストラクターの資格を持っためちゃくちゃ親切丁寧な隆道さんという店主がお茶の入れ方や楽しみ方を教えてくれます。こだわりの「駒結－こまゆい－」は2月に中央アルプス千畳敷の雪の中に埋め5月に取り出す「香りが強くまろやかなお茶」です。
お茶屋さんは「年輩」の方が行く所というイメージだったが…お茶を贈る事になり初めて買いに入ってみた。煎茶にも種類があるようで深蒸と普通蒸を試飲させていただいてびっくり！今まで家で飲んでいたお茶や、ペットボトルのお茶…。試飲させていただいたお茶と比べたら旨味が全く別物！自宅用にも深蒸をすぐ購入した。この山二園さんは堅苦しい感じではなくカジュアルな物も扱っている。今回買ったお茶用のボトルはワインボトルな感じでフィルターも付いていてすぐ食卓に出せる。しかもこのボトル、耐熱ガラスだから水出しもお湯出しもOK。茶葉を入れて水を入れるだけ。ペットボトルの緑茶よりずっと旨いお茶がペットボトルよりリーズナブルに作れる。しかもecoだ。横にしてもシリコンキャップだからこぼれないし、かなり愛用中。カラーもたくさんある。これを使わずして冷茶好きって言ってる人…深蒸＋ボトル、是非お試しを！！

We stopped in briefly and were met with the kindest shop owners! Despite the language barrier, we still found a way to bond over our appreciation for tea. It was a heart warming experience and I hope to be back soon.
