I had given myself a haircut at home the night before leaving for Japan, and needless to say, my hair was a disaster! When I arrived in Takayama, I walked past this shop and felt this was the place to be. The owner and the lovely ladies working at the Antenna salon were all extremely kind and understanding of my lack of Japanese language and didn't make me feel bad for butchering my own hair at home. Great haircut and great people. Thank you! 💛
Impeccable, outstanding service .I just showed up as I was staying nearby, and saw if it was possible to book , the lady , politely asked if I could come later , and asked for my name .I booked , and showed up , expecting a quick cut with a picture reference, and that was it .I was wrong.Oh I was so wrong.it took 1 and a half hours but I was pampered like a small child , head massages , shoulder massage, and the longest most dedicated head washing session that I have ever had 😁They speak a bit of English , bring a picture , your Google translator , and you'll manage.Incredible attention and care , heavily recommended.
I had a great experience here! Everyone was really nice and they also speak a bit of English. The price was really fair. Also the view is great, I recommend it!

I came here during my trip in September 2025. I was tired of my hair and wanted to experience a haircut in Japan. I came across this salon and asked for the price of a haircut. The price was reasonable to me. Luckily, there was an availability the same day.I don't speak Japanese and the staff doesn't speak English. But I was ok if my haircut did not turn out exactly what I had in mind because of the language barrier. I didn't have a clear idea of what hairstyle or haircut I wanted anyway.Like previous reviews mentioned, the whole haircut process took two hours, which I was not expecting. My hair was washed twice. They gave me a bit of a shoulder and upper back massage. My hair was cut to precise symmetry, which I really admire.It was one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Even as my hair has grown and I don't blow dry or style it, It still looks good.I highly recommend this salon. Come with an open mind. Expect to be there for two hours.
