Visiting here felt like a very intimate experience of a small creative studio. The artists were passionate and skilled, but also kind and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked inside to the moment we were driving away. They were eager to show off the studio space, their craft, and their creative processes. And getting to try a bit of kumiko ourselves, they made us feel very comfortable trying something new.
One of the most beautiful wood crafts I’ve seen.The master is quite dedicated not only to his craft, but also humbly sharing his passion and the techniques behind it; there’s a clear openness in sharing it to the world.There were lots of samples of beautiful art all over the workshop, yet they also serve practical purposes. For those who like to have a hands-on experience to their trip, this place is a must-visit.
