I used 4 equipment rental houses in Tokyo. So far I like Lightup the best. There are other rental houses which have wider ranger of equipment or offer a lower price. But Lightup have very attentive staffs and check their equipment very carefully before they rent out their stuff.Also there are English speaking staff if you having difficult speaking Japanese.
Just found out about this rental house as I needed some rental gear at the last minute. Staff are kind, helpful and attentative. Was surprised how easy it was to rent gear with minimal paperwork and not even having to become a member first.
