My friend and I had an absolute blast driving the Hakone Turnpike with Akebono.Jordan is super helpful and made the drive effortless, allowing us to take in the experience without worrying about where we’re going.It was by far and away the best day we had in Tokyo, and it is absolutely worth doing!
Honestly, it was one of the best nights of my life. The cars, the sound, and the scenery were absolutely indescribable. My husband and I went for a ride, and it was truly unbelievable. Thank you so much, Akebono!!! We will definitely come back and drive another car ❤️
Jordan was amazing. It was my first time in Japan and loved JDM cars. He made the whole experience professional but acted like a close friend. I got to drive the White FD RX7, it made me want one for myself. I would recommend and would totally do this experience again!
Akebono is the real deal. Jordan was an amazing guide and driving the R34 through Tokyo was a total dream. Seeing Tokyo Tower and hitting Daikoku was an absolute vibe, you won't regret it!My girlfriend loved it and she is not into cars
Jordan was great. He is a very knowledgeable guy and really cares about the scene. Unfortunately some of the meet spots were closed down by police, but even with that he still led us around Tokyo and showed us the scene. I got to drive the white Supra, light but responsive clutch and smooth gearbox made for a very enjoyable time. Thank you guys again for the great tour. I will definitely be booking again when my friends and I come back to Japan.
Just came back from the Akebono Tokyo Drive experience. To put it simply : "I was blown away." There aren't enough words to explain the adrenaline rush and smiles per dollar this experience brought me. It is totally legit, after booking online, I was contacted by Jordan (Yes thats the dude in the IG ad) who gave all the details and meet up instructions. The location is out of tokyo, so will have to take a train to Yokohoma, but thats it. So plan accordingly, as it took us about 1 hour to get there from Shinjuku station. However, it was well worth it. Jordon met us at the office location, showed us the car and other drivers in the group. We were briefed on safety and signs in Japan. Then literally handed the keys and followed him through tokyo, to various stops (tokyo tower and Autobacs) including Daikoku meet. I took my kids and they haven't stopped telling their mom about how amazing the experience was. I booked the Skyline GT-T, came with a beautiful blue wrap and 350+ HP. It definately had a tune, because it would backfire at downshifts. It was a dream, I had a supra infront of me and an 700hp RX-7 behind, being driven by another customer from Italy. We tried to stick to the speed limits, but I definately petted all the horses while driving around. Thats whats amazing about this experience, you are literally given the keys to a JDM monster, drive it like its meant to be driven and then show it off at the Daikoku meet like its yours! This isn't for amateurs, if you can't drive stick, you probably should go for the other ride along companies. They do have an automatic car, but where is the fun in that. You can bring your kids/wife, as most of the cars have back seats and you're renting the car, not just a spot in the car. Huge shoutout to Jordon who was an amazing tour guide, easy to communicate with and a car-guy through and through. I HIGHLY recommend this company and the tour. I will be back, but with more friends.
I had the most amazing time on this experience. Our tour guide Jordan was able to pick us up from Ginza without any issues and he was super helpful. We were able to chat about Tokyo and he gave us insight into the daily workings of Tokyo and each prefecture we would pass through. I was definitely not expecting to see as much of the city as we did and when our original plans for Daikokuya fell through due to police closures Jordan and Akebono where ready for a back up location in an instance. They saved our night and created and unforgettable experience for our trip. Definitely will be recommending this to all my friends.
