I was a bit under the weather during my one week in Tokyo, but I was determined to have a small taste of the night life, so I slept in today, bent on bar hopping tonight. It started off ok, but improved greatly when I landed at Mongolian Drunk. So welcoming and cozy, I stayed for a long time. I saw in the reviews a refer3nce to Yuki, and everything that was said is true. She is a lovely woman with a good command of English. She made my visit lovely, since I am traveling alone and I am not socially adept. What a lovely place. Good whiskey too, and beer on tap. Thumbs up from me. I also loved the it's music playing all night.
外から見た雰囲気はカウンターバーといった感じだが、食事やおつまみも充実していた。ふらっと気軽に入れるお店。
Had a great time here. Found an unassuming izakaya with a quirky name :)) They had a good selection of beer, and most importantly, the friendly owner made it easy to have a great conversation in English.
Small cosy bar which the boss Yuri-san is the best host when it comes to having a good drink and a good chat. Best experience if you know a bit of Japanese, but never the less, Yuri-san will still make it a good place to hang out and wind down with a drink and some chats, even in English.
