多彩な緑茶の紹介が魅力的で、特に抹茶や蕎麦茶が人気です。
7代目のご主人がいる歴史あるお茶屋さんで、会話も楽しめる場所です。
店内では素敵な煎茶を味わいながらくつろげる、雰囲気の良い空間が広がっています。
とても丁寧にお茶の説明をして下さり店主のお茶に対する情熱が伝わってきました。もちろん買ったお茶はとても香り高く美味しかった。お値段も良心的。旅先で良いお店に巡り会えて良かった。
Gifu prefecture is not a major producer of tea, so I was very happy to find this store sells local tea from Gifu (Shirakawa-cha and Ibi-cha). I enjoy drinking different teas from all over Japan, but I've had tea from Gifu before, so I'm interested to see how it tastes. The owner was very knowledgeable about tea, spoke excellent English, and was very friendly. I'm happy I stumbled upon this store!
A very kind man who has extensive knowledge about all kinds of tea, especially green tea. He told us all about where it comes from, what the differences are between the different tea, and what the flavor of the tea is. We bought two cans of matcha and one whisper.
I wanted to buy tea but did not know what. The guy from the store was very friendly, and he spoke English. He explained what sort of teas he had from the region and how they differed from each other. He recommended some teas for beginners and explained how the teas are made. The store is just outside the touristy area, so it was not busy. The guy from the store was amazing and made the experience complete and very authentic.
煎茶を購入。予感どおり美味しかった。適正価格なのが本当に嬉しい。詳しいお話をしてくださるが自慢や押し売りは感じず好印象。海外のお客様も多いようだ。建築は文化財指定されているそうだ。二階の座敷を見てみたいものである。
Nagase san was very knowledgeable, passionate and patient. He showed great hospitality and you can find a wide range of tea products in his shop. We bought some loose tea leaves and returned for a proper teapot. He explained everything with details and he communicated fluently in English. Very glad with our purchase and grateful for our chat. Muy recomendado! Un sitio súper auténtico por no hablar del dueño que nos atendió fenomenal. El hombre es súper amable, nos explicó la diferencia entre los tipos de matcha y su diferencia de precio. Yo compré una bolsita de 100gr del de más calidad (un poco más de 4000¥) y otra de la calidad más normal que él me explicó que es el que suelen tomar allí (costó unos 3000¥). Me encantó ver cómo lo hacía él mismo allí y cómo entendía sobre todos los tés que preguntábamos. Sin duda tenéis que ir!!!
Great place to buy matcha 🍵 tea we also bought a matcha wisk(chasen) and some matcha tea. Very friendly owners ( 7 th generation)
Drank a lovely Sencha tea with Mr Nagase and bought some buckwheat tea here. He even had some pu-erh!

This tea shop was one of the highlights of our visit to Takayama. The owner is hugely knowledgeable and very friendly, and speaks English fluently which was helpful as we had a lot of questions. We went back twice and the second time he gave us a bunch of stuff for free (tea canisters and some local chestnut cookies), which was very kind.
