本堂の特徴
愛宕念仏寺の本堂は鎌倉時代の建物で、重要文化財です。
本堂から美しい羅漢さんの景色を見ることができます。
バスの便が難しいため、タクシーや徒歩でのアクセスがあります。
2025.1.13大正時代に、京都・東山から嵯峨野に移ったそうです大きくない本堂ですが、とても歴史を感じます。
Beautiful place. Getting there and back into town was tricky with the bus schedule. We ended up walking there and flagging down a taxi to get back.
大正11年に東山の弓矢町から移築され現在は重要文化財に指定されています。
Most undoubtedly an extremely picturesque temple thanks to the incredible number of Jizou statues with various facial expressions, professions, and other details that make each one of them unique. If you come early in the morning, you will be able to enjoy this place in peace, but as the day goes on, you will meet increasingly large crowds of tourists here, making it difficult to take clean pictures.
本堂から、羅漢さんが見える。カエルの鳴き声と、水の音のみきこえる。
愛宕念仏寺の本堂は鎌倉時代の建物で重要文化財に指定されています。大正11年(1922)に現在地に移築したものだそうです。

While wandering around Otagi Nenbutsuji, I stepped into the wooden temple hall. It felt calm inside. Stayed for a short while before heading back out to explore the rest of the grounds.
