打楽器専門店で、珍しい楽器が所狭しと並んでいます。
店員さんが親切に楽器の解説をしてくれるので初心者も安心です。
ビル全体が打楽器に特化したデパートのような魅力があります。
好みの音が鳴るエナジーチャイムを探していて、運良くSALEになっていたハンディタイプのものを2つ購入出来ました。ピッチも安定していて満足です。とてもLuckyでした。他には可愛らしい形のマラカスやバングルタイプの鳴り物、陶器の水笛を購入しました。どれもとても気に入っています。大切に使いたいと思います。
今回はスティックを購入しました。フロアは分かれますが、ドラム用とクラシック用どちらも揃えられました。次はトライアングルでも買おうかと思います！
スティックを息子と買いに行きました。たくさんあり、手に取り納得いくまで選んでいました。気に入ったものが買えたようでした。ただ、階段にはたくさんのダンボールや荷物が置いてあり、消防法上違反ではと感じました。改善を求めます。
A review specifically for international customers interested in Kato timpani mallets:Hands down a special experience being here in person. This shop is one-of-a-kind for the products it offers. Of course, it can be a little tricky getting Kato mallets around the world (wait times, shipping costs, customs fees, retailer upcharges, etc.). This is the one place in the world where none of that matters. You have to make the trip if you’re trying to make a serious investment for your timpani mallet collection.A few logistical notes for those wondering:- You can test out any of the mallets on a single, plastic head timpano at the shop. Just be polite of the playing volume when they need to take business phone calls in the same room.- There are two mallet racks beside the drum. As long as you keep the mallet pairs and their respective bags organized, you can test many models at once.- I am not sure of the restock consistency/logistics, but it is best to plan your visit around a restock, if at all possible. I had noticed the restock via the website offerings, but I’m sure you can email for a better answer.- Most mallets have multiple pairs available for the same model. With all due respect for Kato, there are some slight inconsistencies and differences amongst the pairs. Do not be afraid to pull every mallet off the shelf to find the “best” pair. It is worth the extra effort, even for finding an ideal bamboo weight/thickness.- You can set mallets aside to reserve for purchase, just in case anyone else comes in trying to purchase Katos while you test other items or leave temporarily.- The mallets are scanned upstairs (6th floor) and put on a receipt, but the payment is done below on the 5th floor. One of the sales rep will carry the mallets and receipt down for you.- You can request tax free purchase if you have your passport and are on a temporary visit pass. You cannot get tax free if you are in the country on a work visa, or at least that is my understanding.- They will oil coat the bamboo shafts for you, if you’d like. You will have to wait an hour or so to pick them up, but it definitely helps prevent cracking during travel or in the future.- They have a couple different bags available for you to take your mallets out of the store in, but you must pay extra for the paper bag. I would suggest bringing a backpack or duffle to carry things in.- They make it very clear that you cannot buy the mallets to resell in another country. In addition, you must carry the mallets with you on the plane. You are not supposed to ship the mallets yourself out of the country.- If you have friends who wish to purchase mallets too, they can place an order via email with JPC, pay for them, and then you can pick them up on their behalf.- Lastly, most of the staff do not speak very good English but are incredibly kind! 打楽器奏者の聖地。音楽をしない地元民の友人曰く「いつも変に人が出入りしてるけど何の店か知らなかったから怪しかった」デスヨネー打楽器奏者は怪しい。異論は認めるが大体そうだと自覚してるっしょ？店内はもうパウカーにとっては夢の国。マレットだけでクレカ限界まで使いたくなるのをグッと堪えて6階からシャワー効果で見て回るのが俺スタイル！
東京・浅草の打楽器ならなんでも揃う専門店です。わたしはストロベリーシェーカー🍓を買いました。楽器イヤリングやピアスも販売されていて時間を忘れてしまいます。試奏は声掛けを。
ウッドブロックとクラベスとマレットを購入しました。店員さんに声をかけて試奏させてもらい、また相談もさせてもらいました。マレットはなにを選んだら良いか分からなかったので質問してそれにも答えてくださり、丁寧でした。全部の買い物を１つお店の赤い袋にまとめ手容れてくれました。最後にボンゴについて試奏と質問に行き、親切にしていただきました。
打楽器といえばここ。どこ行けばいいかわからないならまずはこの店を訪れてみてはどうでしょうか。
