Upon visiting Ichijou Shakuhachi, I was greeted warmly, offered green tea, and sat to discuss instrument options. Coincidentally my friend from Atlanta was also in Osaka at the same time, and was a huge help with our visit’s translation.Mr. & Mr. Kobayashi helped to narrow down my selection, and made the process comfortable. I was especially enamored with the sound of Mr. Kobayashi’s playing. Lastly, I was given a short tour of the shakuhachi workshop / factory, in which my heart fluttered.I am fortunate to have this experience and look forward to the next chapter in my shakuhachi journey. Arigato gozaimashita Mr. and Mr. Kobayashi!

Arigato gozaimasu!!!
