📍 Araragi River Intake Weir蘭川取水堰堤 @ Nakasendo Trail, Nagano 🇯🇵We passed by the Araragi River Intake Weir (蘭川取水堰堤) on 14 November 2025 while walking the Nakasendo Trail toward Tsumago. This small riverside structure sits quietly along the route, adding a peaceful touch to the hike with the gentle sound of flowing water.The area around the weir is calm and surrounded by trees, making it a refreshing point along the journey. The clear river water, combined with the natural forest backdrop, creates a relaxing atmosphere that many hikers appreciate as they pause briefly before continuing.During autumn, the scenery becomes even more beautiful with warm red and yellow foliage reflecting softly on the water. It’s a simple but charming stop that showcases the rural nature of the Nakasendo countryside.A peaceful and scenic riverside point —perfect for a short pause to enjoy the sound of flowing water before heading toward Tsumago. 🌿💧🍁🥾✨
桜の時期に訪問。川と歴史的建築物のコラボにやられます。ぜひ行きべきと思います。とてもいいところです。
心地よい滝音。
ゲートボール場側にも駐車場があります。対岸の駐車場からだと街並みの写真が背景になってしまいますが、こちらからだと山が背景になります。午前中は写真のように逆光になるため、午後に行くか、ストロボで補えば被写体は綺麗に撮れると思います。
妻籠を散歩し、橋の上から 蘭川取水堰堤を眺めていると、心地よい水の音が包んでくれます。
趣のある取水堰です、景観を損なわないよう操作盤なども黒く塗る徹底ぶり。
