Very lovely little ceramics gallery in Nozawa Onsen. It’s small but charming, with changing pottery exhibitions. When we visited, the show focused on traditional pottery styles and all the explanations were available in English, which was really helpful. Photos aren’t allowed, but it makes the visit feel calm and mindful.The staff are warm and welcoming, and the view of the mountains from the gallery is beautiful. A great stop if you have some free time in Nozawa and want something quiet and cultural.
スタッフの方がとても親切でした。
温泉街の掲示板でその存在を知り、訪れました。こじんまりとした素敵なギャラリーです。説明してくださる方がいて、わかりやすく説明してくださいます。名前くらいしか知らなかった焼き物のことが、少しわかりました。ロケーションがよく、窓の外はとても気持ちの良い眺めです。暑い日だったので、冷たいお茶をご馳走になりました。無料で、この内容はとても素晴らしいと思います。野沢温泉を訪れたら、また必ず再訪したいです。
半年に一度の展示替えがあり、歴史がよく分かる企画展示を計画していて、また解説が丁寧で分かりやすくて、見学のあと、抹茶を点ててくださいます。入場無料なので恐縮してしまいます。
✨素晴らし過ぎます！！酒器展に行かせて頂きましたが、ラインナップ、展示の妙、館の設え、全てに、感嘆！堪能！致しました。ありがとうございました！！

We thoroughly enjoyed the current ceramic exhibition; amazing pieces many centuries old beautifully preserved and presented with excellent explanatory information in both Japanese and English. The curator was incredibly friendly and helpful and we also enjoyed a beautiful view across the snow capped mountains and town from the museum.
