A terrific mountain bike ride up to this historic monument. I cannot imagine it has many visitors but it is well worth visiting just for its historic significance. At the bottom of the mountain you can also find information about a visit by the British explorer Isabella Bird.

周辺のオススメ
大沼トンネルがまだない昔 人々この峠を越えていたと考えると感慨深いです。函館方面からだと角度的に見づらいですがクリーンセンターの看板が目印です。道路は比較的フラットな未舗装ですが一部大きな段差があったりすれ違いが厳しいところがありますので注意が必要です。
