乘願院の特徴
常願寺は延暦寺の旧支部としての歴史を持つ、特有の名刹です。
勅使のための廟として知られる、退位した正親町天皇の墓所があります。
美しい庭には池と人型の菩薩像があり、静かな時間を提供しています。
滋賀里から志賀越えし入洛する途中に通過しました。

常願寺：もともとは、山上に延暦寺の旧支部として建てられました。比ei。山比eiは1571年に織田信長によってかつて火が放たれ、その後寺は修復され、江戸時代中期に正光院（北白川区）の霊usになりました。この神殿には山の寄付などの贈り物が贈られました。寺の近くにある常願院。本堂は元来、北区の上賀茂神社の観音堂にありました。寺の見どころは、正光院の墓と、太陽と庭の美しいKoの池を遮るためのシトミスクリーンの建築です。内部には人間サイズのBo像があり、寺の外には地蔵があります。 （Trans-word +：TGM京都ガイド）（原文）Joganji Temple : The temple was originally built as a former branch of Enryaku-ji Temple on Mt. 周辺のオススメ
下鴨神社から続く御蔭通りの東端、山中峠(志賀越道) 入口付近に位置します。境内には池もあり、とてもきれいに整備されていました。4月中旬の参拝でしたので、枝垂れ桜はすでに葉桜でしたが、遅咲きの八重桜がきれいに咲いていました。かつては比叡山延暦寺の支坊だったため、織田信長の焼き討ちに遭い焼失しましたが、1608年に再興され、以後、照高院の御霊所となり、乗願寺山が寄進されたそうです。現在の本堂は、1869年に上賀茂神社境内にあった神宮寺の観音堂を譲りうけて移築したものです。
