Decent food overall, but a bit disappointing for the price. At around ¥1,700, the portion size was surprisingly small for a grown man — I honestly didn’t expect that. The pork wasn’t as impressive as other reviews suggested, though the taste is still acceptable.For context, I had beef elsewhere in Kyoto for around ¥2,000 (second photo) felt much more satisfied. Might want to manage your expectations before visiting.
Quick and easy and no line! Stopped here for a quick lunch. The Karaage and Katsu were fried nicely served with a decent portion of rice. Curry sauce was good. Price was decent as well.
點餐很方便，五種套餐照著數字點餐即可，4號套餐是超級好吃的炸squid咖哩飯非常好吃，微微小辣 服務也很親切店內還有世界地圖可以標記，下次再來。
2026 May review: quality was far worse than last year. Fried chicken and pork was lower than convenience store, rice felt old, curry was cold. Service was subpar by two younger individuals vs older pair from last year.2025 August review: Great hole in the wall curry. Highly recommend. Only slightly pricey at 1400 per dish.
I absolutely love this curry place in the outskirts of Kyoto, and I was so happy to stumble across it. Clearly a small familiy-owned place where we got ourselves the best poke cutlet & shrimp fry curry. Don't forget a super-cold Asahi on draft while munching on those delicacies. Seating is limited, so take your chance if available!
