出雲路鞍馬口は，京都と諸国とを結ぶ主要街道の出入り口である京の七口の一つ。出雲路口ともいう。京都から上賀茂・幡枝・市原・二瀬を通って鞍馬に至る鞍馬街道の起点にあたる。室町時代には，ここに関所が置かれていた。この石標は鞍馬口を示すものである。（京都市）建立年 1970年建立者 京都市寸 法 高107×幅18×奥行18cm碑 文[北東]出雲路鞍馬口[南東]昭和四十五年三月 京都市Izumoji Kuramaguchi is one of the seven entrances of Kyoto, which is the gateway to the main roads connecting Kyoto and other countries. During the Muromachi period, there was a sekisho here.
