We drove by this small local barbershop near Takayama on our way to the hotel and decided to stop in since I needed a haircut. It’s run by an elderly Japanese barber and his wife, both incredibly kind and welcoming. Despite we don’t speak Japanese, we were able to chat using Google Translate, which made the visit feel very personal and warm. The haircut was excellent - very attentive and precise. They even gave us several souvenirs. Highly recommend it if you need a haircut in the area.
