Stayed for a week early February '26 and couldn't have asked for a better time!Jen, Matt and the team go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. They gave us some spot on recommendations for our ski days, restaurants and more. Their shuttles are really convenient for making the most of your time on the slopes and for handy trips to the supermarket! Its also walkable to the Goryu slopes and all the amenities.The accommodation has everything you could need, great drying room, fully equipped kitchen, warm, clean and safe homely feel.There is a welcoming communal space but absolutely no pressure to join if you or your group need some space or privacy. We also forwarded our luggage and they were kind enough to have it waiting in our room when we arrived which was perfect after a big travel day.Would definitely stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.Thank you for everything Sneaky Peaks team! :)
I had an absolutely amazing time staying at Sneaky Peaks! They picked me up from the station when I arrived in Hakuba and dropped me back off at the station when I was leaving. Through the entire stay I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Matt, Jen and the staff are super friendly and were always there to help and answer any questions, as well give good recommendations for food and drink spots!The rooms are so comfortable and cozy, perfect for coming back to after a big day of skiing. The kitchen, common room and other facilities were always well kept and inviting. They operate a shuttle service to the resorts in the morning which was a game changer, allowing me to get to where I wanted to hassle-free. The breakfast served in the morning is delicious and eggs were cooked perfectly!It was sad having to leave Sneaky Peaks and the people I met there, If you’re looking for accommodation in Hakuba and want a friendly, cozy and peaceful vibe then look no further. I will 100% be back next season and hopefully seasons to come!
First time in Hakuba and staying at Sneaky Peaks was an absolute pleasure. From the moment I contacted them to book our trip to the moment we left the staff, Jen and Matt were fabulous. Excellent location, knowledgeable staff and a shuttle service to the resorts. Local restaurants in Goryu were walkable with good atmosphere and food. The lodge was located amongst beautiful trees, the rooms were spacious and warm, bathrooms great and common area and kitchen a great way to meet other guests and chat to friendly staff. Highly recommend Sneaky Peaks, we will be back!
We enjoyed a comfortable 7-night stay at Sneaky Peaks. The room was basic but cozy, and the entire establishment was well-maintained and clean. The owners were friendly and helpful, while the staff provided excellent recommendations for ski slopes and local dining options. Breakfast was a delightful bonus, featuring a good variety of cereals, fruits, pastries, eggs, toast, coffee, and juice. Additionally, the free shuttle bus to the slopes was extremely convenient. Overall, it is a great accommodation option in Hakuba, and I would definitely recommend it.
We had the best time staying at Sneaky Peaks for our 4 nights in Hakuba. From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home — warm, welcoming, and relaxed in all the right ways.The hospitality was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable and having a great time. And the hosts, Jen & Matt, are absolutely amazing — so welcoming, helpful, and passionate about what they do. They really set the tone for the whole place.The lodge itself has such a cosy vibe after a big day on the snow, and everything just felt easy and well looked after. We loved every moment of our stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Hakuba.Highly recommend Sneaky Peaks — we’ll definitely be back! 🏔️❄️✨
My partner and I stayed for a few nights at Sneaky Peaks and it was amazing! Every single staff member was so thoughtful, fun, and accommodating, and the owners are just awesome. They made sure we had an easy time checking in and out, navigating the place, getting to wherever we wanted to snowboard, and even helped us with getting our bags to the airport via a service. Super clean, so comfy, and just a beautiful little walk away from many restaurants and even one of the better ski resorts in the area. Would absolutely stay again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay!
From the moment we checked in we knew we'd nabbed ourselves a beautiful accommodation. The lodge felt homey and hotel in just the right ways! Our room had a cosy loft that made it feel like we were in a secluded wood cabin.The shared showers were clean and provided good water pressure, and the toilets were new and modern.We loved the breakfast that Sneaky Peaks provided, from cereal to perfectly cooked eggs. We felt well fed and ready to tackle each day of snowboarding!
Hands down the best place we’ve stayed on all our travels. From the minute we arrived, we were welcomed with a big grin from Jen and made to feel right at home. The staff are SO great, went above and beyond to accomodate, they are there to hang out, answer any question, give tips and even ride with us and show us around! We would wake up to the most delicious breakfast (shout out to the egg masterchefs that have perfected the art of boiling an egg), jump in the staff shuttle car to a mountain to spend the day riding perfect powder, and come back to the most warm, cosy, clean spaces! It is in such a beautiful location surrounded by forest (and sometimes monkeys!) Matt and Jen and ALL staff have cultivated a space that we will always remember, not just the immaculate lodge, but our experience of how we felt on this trip. We miss Sneaky Peaks and our new friends there, and already and can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much for such a memorable time!
Amazing experience in all things accounted. The staff, especially, were extraordinary in their service and hospitality. Honestly, felt more at home in some regards than in my more permanent residence in Japan, mainly due to how welcoming everyone was.The location is close to a very good ski resort, and they offer rides to the other resorts in the morning.The rooms were quiet and very cosy.The common room was very nice, and had a great vibe and was an amazing place to hang out and play games or guitar.The only room for improvement is that the bathroom was maybe a bit cold at night.All around 12/10 experience!

Sneaky Peaks is great. Location is superb and they offer a free shuttle, which is so good. The staff are exceptional, friendly and create a great atmosphere. Breakfast was great. Living room is a great touch for a relax after a long day skiing. Awesome all round.Special shout-out to Jen for helping when there was an issue with our Skis being picked up.And a huge thank you to TK, who very kindly helped us when our Skis were picked up, and he even made sure they got on the van.
