Highly recommended if you want a fishing trip where you just have to show up. Asano picked us up at our hotel in Kyoto and we had a good time on the even though it was hot during the summer. We used a spacious and comfortable bass boat, and even used his tackle that was of quality and easy to use.Asano himself caught a big bass around 3kg and we caught good fighting bass.
Visited May 31 & June 1st 2 full days of fishing Biawa.It Was an amazing time fishing with Captain ASANO. He was very professional, punctual and humble.Assisted with ride service from my hotel . He was able to not only help me catch fish but also enjoy my time out on the water. He was very patient and polite allowing me to be comfortable and have a custom guided experience His service was worth my time and money I would book again. We also caught large Bass. We spent the day bass fishing with Kazuya, who truly knows how to catch fish! The bass were spawning, so we spent much of the day sight fishing, which made for an exciting and unique experience.Kazuya was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful throughout the trip. Beyond being a great guide, he was simply a fun person to spend the day with on the water.I’d also like to mention that if you’re traveling from another country, the Japan Bass Fishing Agent reservation team is outstanding. If you're visiting the Kansai area, booking a day with Asano is a must! This was hands-down the best fishing trip I've ever had. He is incredibly nice and highly professional. The gear is top-notch: we used a modern bass boat that could fly at 100 km/h (be prepared if you down for it during winter/spring) and high-end sonar, which made hunting for big bass fast and easy. Beyond the fishing, we also arranged a sightseeing session, taking us to amazing local spots you'd never find on a standard tourist map. Enjoy every minute of your day—10/10!
I had a quick half day trip with Kazu. I traveled from America with one goal in mind... Catch 1 Lake Biwa bass. I have fished professionally all over the United States but I have never caught a bass in another country. Well in 3 hours we did just that thanks to Kazu. My wife caught her personal best largemouth which was over 7 pounds! I also caught a good size Lake Biwa bass so we accomplished our goals. Kazu picked us up from the train station and after the trip took us to a local tackle shop where I bought some gear to take home with me. We thought this was an amazing incentive to book with them. Kazu also speaks English fairly well. When we couldn't quite understand each other we just used Google translate on our phones. We plan to visit Japan every couple of years and each time we do, we'll call these guys to go fishing on Lake Biwa. Next time we'll dedicated more than 3 hours to the lake. We look forward to seeing you guys again soon!
We had an amazing day on Lake Biwa with Tsuntsun! Everything from the communication before the trip to the arrangements on the day was smooth and professional. Tsuntsun was extremely knowledgeable about Biwa Lake waypoints as well as related techniques, and he worked hard to make sure we had a great experience. (Great bass boat driver!!!)Even as visitors from abroad, we felt very welcomed he patiently explained everything and shared a lot about local fishing culture and the lake itself. We caught some great fish and learned a lot along the way.Highly recommend this guide to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable Lake Biwa fishing experience. Definitely worth it!

We had a fantastic fishing charter on Lake Biwa with Tanaka-san! From start to finish, everything was easy and well organized. He arrived right on time to pick us up from our hotel and communicated the plans clearly so we always knew what to expect.Most importantly, we had a great day fishing and caught several bass! Tanaka-san was incredibly patient, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the trip, and he made the whole experience enjoyable for us.After fishing, he even took us to a local tackle shop before driving us back to our hotel, which was a really nice addition to the day.We really appreciated his hospitality and how well he took care of us. If you’re looking for a bass fishing guide on Lake Biwa, I would absolutely recommend Tanaka-san. Thank you for such a memorable experience!
