旧陣屋稲荷宮境内地・根古石（猫石）の特徴
高山陣屋の近くに位置する、歴史的な猫石が楽しめる場所です。
駐車場に隣接した小さなスペースにあり、訪れやすいです。
お話に由来する猫の伝説が残る、魅力的なスポットです。
駐車場と民間に挟まれた、ちいさな場所になってしまいました。子供のころからの馴染みの所です。
One day, when the lord's princess was in the mansion's garden, the cat she kept suddenly refused to hold her kimono and release it. When it was difficult, the lord just passed there. When I saw the circumstances, he suddenly pulled out his sword and threw away the cat's neck, saying that it was hard to forgive her daughter for being a brute. With that momentum, the cat's neck flew high in the air, flying straight into the pine tree in the garden, biting into the throat of the large snake on the branch of the tree. Unbearably, the snake fell from the tree and then stuck. Seeing this, the feudal lord realized that the cat noticed that Orochi was aiming for the life of the princess and tried to save. It is said that the burial of a pitiful cat, and its mark, was a root stone (or the carcass of a cat ridden on this stone).This is a typical story for a cat's bounty, and although it lacks credibility, it is still treated by neighbours.
