ゲストハウス 林屋の特徴
信濃大町駅から徒歩10分の便利な立地で、周囲には日本らしい風景が広がる場所です。
管理人がとても親切で、英語が堪能なご家族と共に清潔な空間を提供しています。
100年以上の歴史を持ち、伝統的な木組みが魅力のシェアハウスです。
Check in is 5pm. We arrived 5:06pm, no one was there, door was locked. Not fun when we were very tired & no way to call the property.Room was clean & spacious. No blackout curtains, sunrise was 4:30am in May. Kitchen is clean & equipped. Abt 10 mins walk from train station. No convenience store on this route.
2 surprises. First is checkin is 5pm, which is the latest I've ever encountered. Before that time the doors are locked and noone is there. Secondly at 5:09pm the doors were still locked and still noone answered the door. This I've never encountered before. We left and wandered around and when we returned they finally were open. Once inside the rooms and common area were fine. If they are going to keep the placed locked up with noone available till 5:00, they had better open on time.
住了整個滑雪季，是一個很有溫度的老屋，能感覺到屋主細心照料屋子的每一個角落，乾淨的房間、走廊上的擺飾、外圍的街景，每一個角度都充滿日本生活感。而同時屋主、來訪的住客也都很友善，並且相對其他旅館入住人數較少，適合喜歡安靜的人來住，非常推薦!
お気に入りの場所。「何もしない」をする元旅館「林屋旅館」をリノベーションし、ゲストハウスとして開業。観光客から移住を志す若者、地域の人との交流まで、まさに街のハブ的な役割を担いつつある。シンプルな客室と、ゲストなら誰でも自由に使える広々としたキッチン、調理器具、洗濯機や乾燥機など、旅館やホテルとはまた違った「暮らす」という体験がとても自然に行える場所です。新しい施設ではないため所々に老朽化や癖のある箇所もありますが、それも含めて独特の体験を楽しめる方に向いていると思います。シェアハウスとして入居することも可能で、時期によっては中長期で滞在されているゲストさんもいらっしゃいます。ゲスト同士の気さくな交流もまたおすすめです！林屋旅館の管理を務める家守(やもり)さんは、大町が大好きでとっても心優しく親切な一児のパパ。僕たちにとっても大切な存在です。
信濃大町駅から商店街を通って左側にあります。昔の旅館を再利用したゲストハウスで、木崎湖が好きなオーナーが営われています。キッチンラウンジでは他のゲストともコミニュケーションがとれます。
大町に来るといつもお世話になる大好きなゲストハウスです。2年ほど前から新しいオーナーさんが運営されていて、部屋の中なども昔の写真とはちがっていてきれいですっきりとしています。シェアハウスや多拠点居住のサービスもされていて、黒部ダムなどの観光、北アルプスの登山やスキースノーボード、自然豊かな環境でのワーケーション利用者などユニークな人たちが集まる場所になってます。旅館をリノベーションしてあり、古き良き趣と新しさが共存する宿。私のここでのおすすめのすごし方は冬はこたつが登場する居間と、小さなハーブガーデンになっている中庭を眺めながら縁側でのんびりすることです。猫になった気分です。アクセスも良くて、駅から徒歩5分ほど。関東から特急列車で来ても高速バスで来ても歩いてすぐですし、黒部ダム行きのバスにもすぐに乗れます。スーパーやコンビニにも近くて、飲食店のある商店街までも徒歩2分ほど。定食屋も居酒屋もあるし、車がない人でも全く困りません。宿は本当に居心地が良く、妙に落ち着き、初めて来た時からいつ来てもあぁ帰ってきたなぁ。「ただいま」と感じます。人がいる時は自然と会話に花が咲いたり、静かな日はゆっくりのんびり読書してすごすこともできる。自由で居心地がいいです。ここの魅力は家の雰囲気や環境もですが、とにかくオーナーさんのやわらかくやさしい雰囲気とホスピタリティが最高です。いつ来ても明るく笑顔で迎えてくれます。オーナーさんは大町に移住された方で、大町が大好きで、地域の仕事にも従事されているので、大町の美味しいごはんやさんやカフェ、すごしかた、穴場など熟知されてます！会えたらぜひ色々聞いてみてください。移住の相談なんかもできたり、前に来た時はお試し移住されてる方もいました。大町で本当におすすめの宿です！いつもありがとうございます。また次回お世話になります！

周辺のオススメ
I very rarely write reviews but visiting omachi made me want to write reviews about every place I visited, namely where I stayed. Guesthouse hayashiya is an excellent place to stay it's a few hundred meters from the train station and the host is incredibly friendly and speaks great English and has a very friendly family who stay in the house also - which means it is very clean. Yes there is a few shared bathrooms but this is the price you pay to stay in a traditional style Japanese room with mountain views, the back part of the house is over 100 years old and has traditional wood joinery which is amazing to see in a place you are staying the layout allows you to meet people and cook with them if that is what you desire which I didn't do but probably would if i would stay again. I met an excellent Japanese man called Dan in this guesthouse who helped me with translating at the pub later in the night and that is really not the sort of thing you'd get from a hotel. I hope to stay here again next time I visit omachi and my only suggestion is that the owner purchases a few cheap bicycles to rent out as the local information office only rents out overpriced e-bikes which you have to give back before 5pm which makes it quite difficult to enjoy riding anywhere far as you always fear running out of time.Overall excellent place to stay only minor detractions from shared bathroom and no rentable bicycles but that's really not a big deal at the end of the day. 10/10
