Every Tuesday there’s a nap during “chapel”. Especially for student who live far it’s great time to sleep because it’s after lunch.

People here are good teachers. There are the ups and downs to this school but it seems like all schools have that. It’s a bubble for the students. A small school doesn’t really mean a bad school. And a Christian school, is a good school for the soul, if you think the school is biased, then I have news for you: the teachers are trying to give you the opportunity to love god. They are trying to save your soul and become a follower. But it’s your choice...
My child has learning differences. I sent him there thinking that he would get help because it’s a Christian School and an international school. Instead, they treated him as a bad kid. They way they treated him was so hurtful. No kid should go through that kind of traumatic experiences.They also put him a grade lower than the grade he is supposed to be at for no reason. I pulled him out ( Thanks God I did) and he could finish two elementary school grades in a year!! Unfortunately, it looks like I am not alone. Some other parents have similar experiences. Also, it looks like there is a big unbalance here. Specific race has big privileges. Others are secondary. It feels like they accept local people for the single reason : money. I was thinking about loving unselfish Christian ways when I sent my kids here. I was totally wrong. Humans are humans. All have shortness, but hates, lies, slanders, discrimination? Japanese schools are far better in educating and respecting their students of different races and backgrounds. I feel guilty that I sent my kid to this school. Also nepotism is so strong here. Parents in this school can’t help questioning the quality and certification of the staff. And because of nepotism, almost there is no certain rules here. Well, it’s a missionary school so nepotism might be unavoidable and it could be a little bit acceptable if they could maintain professionalism and ethics. Unfortunately It doesn’t happen that way here. This review is here for other parents. Your child has only one life. Everyone knows that the experiences the children have at school will have big impacts for the rest of their lives. Think twice. You don’t want your children feel they are not adequate because of the way CAJ treat them. I am a Christian. I have learned forgiveness. No hard feelings but I feel obliged to warn other parents especially because the Japanese culture is far too trusting. CAJ is no way close to the real American schools in America that is far more professional and ethical.
Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ) is a K-12 school established in 1950 to provide Christ-centered education to the children of evangelical missionaries. While continuing in this purpose, CAJ also serves other families who desire this type of education for their children. We serve more than 470 students in our day school program and more than 220 students in our School Support Services program. Our program uses English as the language of instruction and an American curriculum model.

この学校は実際通わせて見て、母子共にとても満足できる学校でした。お勉強の事だけではなくて人徳や礼儀の中できちんと自分を出せる様な一緒物の教育をさせてもらえました。良い大学は勿論人生の生き方に付いて真剣に自ら悩む10代はこの学校だからこそ育つ事だ思い、学校側に本当に感謝しております。良い先生の数がもっと増える事だけお願いしたいです。大変お世話になりました。
