We have had the most amazing experience. Our host Shayne could not be more attentive and helpful. The location was central for easy access to the mountain and the hotel was cozy with great friendly people. The rooms are very comfortable and the showers lovely and hot.||We would definitely come again. This place is priced extremely well and delivers exactly what it promises. ||Thanks Shayne for everything.
超便利(原文)Super convenient
Someone has previously described this hotel as Faulty Towers and I couldn’t agree more! We booked this place for New Year’s Eve so paid over the odds for it and were thoroughly disappointed. We deliberately booked a family room even though there was only 2 of us so that we could have a bit more space. When we arrived we were told that room was no longer available and we had a small double instead. (This then led to anlegthly battle with Agoda to get some money back!!). The room we ended up with was more like a cabin than a room with barely enough space to walk around the bed and the en-suite bathroom was like a cupboard. No locks on the doors or safe to store valuables either. If this were the only issue with the room then we could have coped, but the heating was broken (frozen pipes apparently, I’ve seen this mentioned in another review as well? You’d think that being in an alpine resort they would have this nailed!) and we were given a kerosene heater instead, which within seconds filled the room with fumes so we couldn’t keep it in there. Eventually after much negotiation we got an electric heater but were told to be careful as it could blow the electrics for the entire place (which it did once). Secondly, there was no hot water in the shower most of the time. The owner did his best to offer a shuttle down to the onsen for a shower, but it’s just not good enough when you’ve paid almost $450 a night. The only thing that was good was the breakfast, nothing spectacular, but freshly made each day and good for carb loading before a day on the slopes. The owner was also a very nice guy, just not the most proficient when it comes to running a hotel! Unless you’re desperate, I wouldn’t stay here!
Cozy and clean with friendly staff
We recently travelled to Hakuba with 18 others and stayed as a group at Allure. The service provided by Allure was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and the management always went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. ||||Some of the services we received included - pick up from the bus terminal, great breakfasts, advice on great places to have a feed (and transport to and from). Transport to supermarkets when required and assistance with ski lessons and rental. The drying room was fantastic. There is nothing better than putting warm boots on in the morning.||||The location of Allure makes it easy to get to a wide range of different resorts within the Happo area - and we were able to spend time at Happo, Cortina, TK and 47. It is also a short walk from Happo convenience stores, restaurants and ||||The common room with lounges provided a great place for us to organise the day ahead and reflect on the day that was - the open fire was wonderful. The bar area was another great place to relax and share stories about the day that was.||||Rooms are clean and tidy and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would not hesitate in recommending Allure to groups that want a great place to stay without feeling as though they are imposing on others.
My husband and I recently stayed at Allure. Allure is a chalet rather than a hotel and so is not staffed during the day etc. However that didn't matter and I spent many lovely hours by the fire while my husband was skiing. Shayne made some great suggestions for dinner and was really helpful during our stay. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a chalet type experience with easy access to all the Hakuba resorts.
This cottage is very uniquely n beautifully design own by the white but employed the Japanese to manage. Very sad that the condition the rooms n toilet are not properly refurbish. Location is very nice as like staying in the jungle as surrounded by all the mature trees. It really needs to refurbish as the owner only concentrating his ski rental during winter. I sincerely hope the owner refurbish the whole internal parts if not it will loss the business with was really happening now. I introduced my friends to stay there 30/12/16 to 1/1/17 with a family of 5. He was very upset as not water heater during winter n lodged the complaint and luckily the owner (White) came n helped them n even cooked B'fast for them every morning which my friend was very pleased but still complaint about the conditions of the internal that really have to refurbish . I am planning to come back in this Dec with a bigger group as Hakuba is my yearly trip with wife n friends even I do not ski as I love the snow n quiet and relaxing place.
We stayed for 2 weeks at Allure and at first were surprised by the things that went wrong. No heating, toilets blocking, restaurant was closed, laundry broken, vending machines broken, breakfast in the bar. We actually chose the lodge as it had a restaurant and laundry. Very disappointing and not what we booked at all.||||In the end it ended up so bad it was funny and we dubbed the place Faulty Towers complete with live in Basil. Unfortunately for any guest the owner had his priority on his ski school! Despite having a full house the whole time we were there. ||||I would never stay here again and recommend no one else does. My son made a list of over 25 items which were broken, didn't work or were never available. Very disappointing.
Based on the information on the website, many features were downright false advertising. No laundry. No restaurant, no gym, no hot water after 10pm, no daily room service, no linen change at all while we stayed (12 days). Heating was a major problem with many of the heaters not working or being turned off. Kero heaters in some rooms were a safety hazard. There were no hand rails on the very steep stairs and the roof leaked. If we had not pre-paid for our entire holiday, many of us would have found alternative accommodation. Many of the ladies in our group took a daily trip to a local Onsen to shower and do our laundry. No place to dry wet ski / snowboard clothing. Rooms were over- crowded with inadequate storage with many of our group having to place our snowboard / ski bags in the corridors. Bathrooms were unsuitable for the number of persons in each room - our room had 3 beds in a room clearly designed for a maximum of 2 at best. Wifi was very sporadic and did not give consistent service.||Advice to potential guests, spend your money staying somewhere else which will give you far better value for money.

Alpine Lodge Hakuba did not meet our expectations.||The property is advertised with amenities that do not exist, including a swimming pool, onsen, and bar (the bar is reportedly under construction). None of these facilities were available during our stay.||We also experienced several other issues:||No lighting or handrails on a dark staircase|No room key provided|Wood bugs falling from the ceiling|The accommodation felt more like a backpacker hostel than a hotel|Check-in was advertised as 4:00pm but delayed until 7:00pm|Our booked family room was unusable, resulting in us being separated from our children and moved into a smaller upstairs room, with no offer of refund or credit||These issues have been raised by other guests previously, so we recommend doing thorough research before booking. While the accommodation is cheaper, it comes with compromises that were not clearly disclosed.||Shayne and the staff were friendly, however due to the above issues we would not stay here again, which is reflected in our rating.
