I’m a non-Japanese speaker, I went here to learn and communicated mostly with the use of a translator app. It was over an hour of 1 on 1 teaching lesson mostly about Go strategies/techniques and another hour of playing it. I even played against other guests. Shout out to Yumi, the other guest who spoke to me in English. Yamakami-sensei made the teaching fun and engaging despite the language barrier. I came here on a weekday, there were only 4 guests. I heard over 10 people are coming in on Saturday. There are instructions outside the building on how to enter, all in Japanese. Overall, the experience was welcoming. I’ll come back here again!
